Supervision
I offer clinical Supervision for other Counselling and Psychotherapy professionals; either one-to-one, or in small groups where participants have a similar level of experience. Supervision groups may feel more exposing or challenging at times, but can also be a supportive and rich collegial experience.
Supervision is, in my view, an essential element of any Counselling or Psychotherapy practice; regular Supervision can help the therapist to practise in a way that is as safe, ethical, self-supporting and effective as possible.
My approach to Supervision is integrative, based on my knowledge and experience of Transactional Analysis, body psychotherapy, and relational concepts. I have a particular interest in reflecting on the process between the supervisee and their client, and that between the supervisee and Supervisor, as a vehicle for insights and therapeutic growth.
Supervisory needs can vary widely depending on the experience of the supervisee. During our initial meeting an important task would be for us to explore together the style and frequency of supervision that will best meet your needs as a therapist.
Counselling and Psychotherapy practice based in Kilndown, near Goudhurst, in West Kent.
